Wholesale Policies

Please ensure you have read the following Wholesale Policies prior to placing an order.

Products are offered at wholesale cost to retailers with a valid sales permit ID for the purpose of resale only. Certain criteria must be met in order to open a wholesale account:

PRODUCT MINIMUMS

Minimum cost and quantities must be met for all wholesale orders. The Soap Artist requires an initial minimum order of $175. All reorders require a $100 minimum. Through experience Jennifer has found a shelf that looks full and well stocked tends to sell her soaps much more effectively and is beneficial to both parties.

Soaps are sold in increments of 4 or 8 per scent/design. Or Jennifer offers a sampler pack where you can try all the soaps.

SHIPPING

If items require shipping, The Soap Artist requires the buyer to pay for shipping. Jennifer will always ship the cheapest way possible unless otherwise requested. Jennifer will deliver orders that are local (within a 20 miles radius from Ayer, MA). All other orders must be shipped (buyer is responsible for shipping) or they can arrange a time to meet up with Jennifer to pick up their order in Ayer, MA. Payment is due at time of delivery or before shipping if order requires shipping.

Jennifer does not sell outside of the United States. Between shipping costs and territory regulations (that differ from the US) it is not feasible to wholesale outside of the United States.

RETURN POLICY

The Soap Artist is responsible for getting your order to you safely. If any items arrive damaged, please notify Jennifer within 5 days of arrival for replacements or a credit. After this time, The Soap Artist cannot be held responsible for the damaged items.

To preserve the color and quality of the soaps please keep out of high heat and direct sun. Thank you.

LEAD TIME

Jennifer requires approximately six weeks to make, cure, and ship/deliver soaps:

• Cold Process Soaps (I will try to keep stock on hand for earlier delivery times, but please plan on a six-week lead time.)
• Holiday Cold Process Soaps (must be preordered between August 1 and September 15 and will be shipped/delivered the second half of October through the first week of November.) If I reach my capacity for making holiday soaps before September 15, I will close preorders early. I will send a notification to my wholesalers when/if I get close to closing preorders early to give you a chance to order.

Note: While Jennifer will attempt to keep her standard line in stock year-round, depending on demand, soaps will at times need to be made to order and will require a four-week cure time before they can be shipped. Please plan accordingly when ordering to ensure you receive your items by your deadlines.

SOAP DESIGNS & PRICING

For years I have been asked to wholesale my decorative artisan soaps. They are labor intensive to make and it has not been feasible. Because of the demand for them I have worked to create two lines of soap: Simple Suds and Artistic Suds. These two lines do have different price points, but it has allowed me to give buyers the chance to obtain my artistic designs now. The Simple Suds are a simpler design, which require less time to make. The Artisan Suds are the unique designs Jennifer is known for, but are also much more labor intensive to make.

JOIN WHOLESALE

Please complete a wholesale account application and Jennifer will respond within three business days. Once terms have been discussed and retailers have been accepted to The Soap Artist's wholesale program, retailers can order through our web form or through the Faire wholesale platform. Upon receiving your order, a digital invoice will be sent for payment.

INTEGRITY

The Soap Artist reserves the right to cancel an account if goods are not being well maintained, stocked in suitable temperatures, displayed well, and/or if accounts change ownership (and are no longer a compatible fit). Please note products cannot be duplicated, adulterated or changed in any way, including altering the packaging of the soaps. Soaps cannot be sold at consignment shops or stores selling second-hand products without approval by Jennifer.
